The moment you've all been waiting for, a brand new episode of the Deep Six Podcast with Matt Barnes, and Steven Spevak, is here!
Starting off the show are two quick take segments where the guys discuss the announcement from Vince McMahon that the XFL will be returning in 2020, as well as our first look at the Andre the Giant documentary set to hit HBO this spring!
Transition into comic news! DC seemingly kills off a major Batman character, a group of DC fans are petitioning to turn the Joker into an openly homosexual character, we learn about Marvel's 2018 Young Guns roster, and more!
We then venture into gaming news! This week Matt gives us a peek into some upcoming new releases for February, some potential woes affecting Bioware, the Avengers Project adding 15 industry veterans to its development team, and more! He also gives us a quick review for episode four of TellTale's 'Batman: The Enemy Within,' as well as our new favorite nonsense indie game, 'Genital Jousting!'
Next stop, entertainment news! From John Cena potentially staring in a 'Duke Nukem' film, to ABC' ordering a female led reboot of the 'Greatest American Hero!' We also discuss the first images of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, 'The Shining,' sequel landing a director, and DC's slate of films apparently getting a shake up.
To close out the show this week, we come back around to comics with our review of the brand new wrestling centric indie title, 'To Be The Man: Evil Ain't Good,' from creators Josh Taylor, and Jared Vaughan Davis! Set in the heyday of the 80's territories, this book focuses on "two booze-fueled professional wrestlers on the road in Reagan's 'Murica fighting Evil in and out of the ring." You don't want to miss this!
